 "Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan launches Facebook page to connect with people")
Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), Polit Bureau member and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is going the 'smart' way to connect with the public and update them about various activities of his new government with the launch of his official Facebook page.
He has launched his official Facebook page – Chief Minister's Office, Kerala – which will be used as a platform to inform people about government's significant decisions and new projects and also to seek their suggestions and opinions.
Though the page was created weeks ago, the chief minister became active on it yesterday.
In his initial post, Vijayan said the page is meant to interact with people on different issues handled by the ministry.
"It is also a space for you (public) to express your opinion, make criticisms and share suggestions regarding the government's activities," he said.
He also elaborated on various measures taken by his ministry within the short span of over one month of coming to power.
An instant hit among social media users, the chief minister's official Facebook page has received 88,614 likes so far.
