This was conveyed to relatives of nurses working in Libya by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today, officials said.
The parents of nurses, mostly from Kottayam and adjoining areas, had met here yesterday and sought urgent intervention of the Chief Minister for the safe return of their children who were keen to come home.
Chandy told them that he had taken up the matter with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and also talked to the Indian Ambassador to Libya.
As many as 46 nurses, all Keralites except one from Tamil Nadu, were successfully brought back home after they were held captive for a few days by militants in Iraq earlier this month.
