Keralite returns home after captivity

After 41 days of captivity in Abu Dhabi following seizure of a parcel containing LSD from his baggage, Shiju Thomas returned home to a warm welcome.
His mother and people from Pizhala near varapuzha thronged the airport in large numbers to greet him.
Speaking to reporters, Thomas who was released in July this year, thanked Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, External Affairs Minster Sushma Swaraj and all others who helped in his safe return.
He said he had not decided about returning to the Gulf.
