The anticipatory bail petition of Rama Khalkho, still absconding after being accused in the "cash-for-votes" case a day before Ranchi mayoral elections, could not be heard today as the police failed to submit case diary to the vigilance court.
The next hearing is fixed on April 30.
Khalkho, who had contested the April 8 Mayoral elections as an incumbent, is facing charges of electoral malpractice after Rs 21.9 lakh was seized from a hotel on April 7.
Congress leader Niranjan Shah and Sudhir Kumar Sahu were also accused in the FIR.
Shah and Sahu were arrested and sent to judicial custody soon after the seizure while Khalkho is still absconding after a lower court issued arrest warrants.
The mayoral poll, which held on April 8, has since been countermanded.
