The condition of former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana, who underwent a surgery following brain haemorrhage, is stable and his vital parameters are showing improvement, doctors treating him said today.
"Currently, Shri Khurana is in the ICU and his vital parameters are showing improvement. His blood pressure has settled now," said Dr D S Rana, Chairman, Sir Ganga Ram hospital.
Khurana is "showing spontaneous activity in all four limbs and is responding to the treatment. The raised pressure of the brain has been released and doctors are planning to reduce ventilatory support gradually. Next week we may do CT Scan. We may shift him from ICU in 3-4 days," he said.
77-year-old Khurana was admitted to hospital at 3 AM yesterday after he suffered a haemorrhage in the right side of the brain. Doctors operated on him for controlling the bleeding. His surgery took an hour and was conducted by Neurosurgeons Dr Rajesh Acharya, Dr Samir Kalra and Dr Gaurav Jain at the hospital.
BJP veteran leader L K Advani visited Khurana today and inquired about his health in detail from doctors and his family members.
Apart from him, V K Malhotra also visited him in the hospital. Yesterday, Vijay Goel had paid a visit to Khurana.
