The park, to be set up with an investment of Rs 100 crore, will be one of the largest edutainment theme parks in Asia.
"Coming to the Capital city has always been on the cards for us, and working with a diverse group of industry professionals and partners will bring a truly genuine experience to the children," KidZania CEO Sanjeev Kumar said in a statement.
To be located at the Entertainment City in Noida, the new park is spread over 147-acre site and will have an underground archaeology facility, a stadium for children to play in, and an aircraft installed overhead, protruding at the entrance to bring out real life experiences for children.
KidZania India is funded by ImagiNation Edutainment Pvt Ltd in which Shah Rukh Khan owns a 26 per cent while rest 74 per cent is owned by Singapore-based KidZ Inc, whose shareholders are Comcraft Group, Xander Group and Maxfield Management Ltd, the statement said.
The first KidZania centre in Mumbai has completed 24 months of operations.
Globally, KidZania has 20 facilities globally which offer children playing facilities, including that of a pilot, surgeon, detective, chef, candy-maker, fireman, television producer, radio jockey, mechanic and other diverse professions.
