He said SGPC cannot take up any matter directly with other country so it will write to External Affairs Ministry which will further take up the matter with the US.
He said all the attacks on Sikhs or Punjabis in foreign countries are not racist attack.
Sikhs occupy prominent positions in Canada, US and other countries. There are various other reasons behind these attacks, he said.
On demonetisation of high currency notes, SGPC president said the committee will write to Finance Minister Arun Jaitely to extend the date of depositing high currency notes of religious places as huge amount was being donated by devotees daily in Gurdwaras and it is not easy for the SGPC to deal with the situation in the present period of exchanging currency.
