Kim Cattrall withdraws from London play due to illness

The "Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall has pulled out of a theatre production due to an unspecified illness.
The 59-year-old actress was due to appear in the title role of Linda at the Royal Court Theatre in Chelsea, west London last night but decided pull out of it, reported Daily Mirror.
"With great sadness and at the advice of my doctors, I will not be able to continue with the Royal Court's production of Linda. I appreciate all the support I have received from the theatre and cannot thank them enough for allowing me to put my health first," the actress said without specifying anything about her illness.

The play, about a woman embarking on an ambitious plan to save the world, was due to open on November 26. Actress Noma Dumezweni will now play her part.
Royal Court artistic director Vicky Featherstone said: "We are all deeply sorry that Kim is unable to continue with the production and she has our warmest wishes. We are extremely grateful and also thrilled that Noma Dumezweni, one of our most brilliant actors, has agreed to take on this challenge at such short notice."
Cattrall shot to fame with her role of Samantha Jones in the "Sex and the City" show and movies.
