A case has been registered against kin of a 57-year-old resident of Thane for allegedly beating him up over a property dispute, the police said Tuesday.
The complainant, Ravindra Palekar, alleged that his son had leased out a plot owned by him to a tenant, but is now refusing to hand over the documents, a police official said.
Naupada police Monday evening filed an FIR against Palekar's wife Rajashri, son Ashay and daughter-in-law Jiya for attacking him.
The complainant owns plots in various locations in Thane, Neral and Bhivpuri, according to police.
Palekar claimed that his son had hurled hot coffee on his face in September this year during an argument over the issue.
No arrest is made so far.
