With a physical progress completed up to 99.67 per cent, the 1,000 MW first unit is expected to be commissioned in July 2013, the NPCIL website said.
The second unit has completed a physical progress of 94.52 per cent and was expected to be commissioned in March 2014, it said.
NPCIL has been postponing the expected date of commissioning every month.
It is building two 1,000 MW VVER nuclear power units with Russian collaboration at Kudankulam in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.
The project has missed several deadlines since December last year following protests by locals over safety concerns.
