Koirala will be in the Southeast Asian nation for the Third Summit Meeting of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), being held in Nay Pyi Taw of Myanmar from March 1 to 4.
This will be Koirala's first foreign visit after forming the government on February 11.
Koirala will depart on Sunday to attend the event, said Basanta Gautam, Chief secretary of the Prime Minister's secretariat.
Koirala will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Mahendra Pandey and other senior officials of the Foreign Ministry.
