Kolkata Book Fair ends today

The annual Kolkata Book Fair ended today with the ringing of the ceremonial bell at the Milan Mela ground here.
Many dignitaries, educationists, book lovers and students attended the ceremony this evening.
A total of 20 lakh people attended the 13-day fair and bought books worth Rs 21 crore.
The Publishers and Booksellers Guild officials said that they have prepared a guideline to ban any type of political programme in the fair ground from next time.
The book fair will be held on 28 January next year and the theme country will be either Japan or Columbia, they said.
