Kota city SP arrested on bribery charges

A Superintendent of Police in Rajasthan was today arrested by ACB sleuths for allegedly taking a bribe to change a chargesheet in favour of a client through a couple, DG ACB said.
SP-City (Kota) Satveer Singh took bribe through Nishar Khan and Fahreen Khan, who were allegedly indulged in changing files, chargesheets, and transferring posting cases.
A property dealer, Abdul Mateen, had filed a complaint with the ACB alleging that the SP had demanded bribe of Rs 2 lakh from him for changing the chargesheet in a case, the DG said.
Bhatt said Mateen had paid Rs One lakh to Khans earlier and handed over to them Rs 50,000 today. He was to pay the remaining amount after the completion of work.
The ACB sleuths recovered a number of official documents from the residence of Khans who run a restaurant in Kota, he said.
A case under relevant sections of Anti Corruption Act, and 120 B of IPC for conspiracy was lodged against the three accused, Bhatt said.
