Shankaracharya Jagatguru Sadhvi Trikal Bhavanta of Pari akhada today said she would be boycotting the first 'shahi snan' ('royal bath') at the ongoing Kumbh Mela here in protest against the district administration.
Sadhvi Bhavanta had filed a petition in a local court on Tuesday seeking permission for shahi snan for her akhada at Sita Kunda or near the Naroshankar temple on the bank of river Godavari.
She and other akhada members would take their holy bath at her sadhu gram camp, wearing black badges, she said.
