L&T's construction arm bags orders worth Rs 3,205 crore

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro's today said the construction arm has received orders worth Rs 3,205 crore across various business segments.
L&T Construction's buildings and factories division bagged orders worth Rs 2,018 crore.
It includes a major turnkey high rise residential project from a leading developer in Mumbai. The scope of the project involves civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and finishing works for six towers each with 55 to 60 floors, the company said in a statement issued here.
Its power transmission and distribution business has bagged orders worth Rs 710 crore in both domestic and international markets.
It has also secured a major turnkey order from Power Grid Southern Interconnector Transmission System, a subsidiary of Power Grid, for the construction of a 400 kV double circuit transmission line linking Cuddapah to Madhugiri.

It won an order from Power Grid for the construction of a 765kV double circuit transmission line at Cuddapah.

On the international front, Larsen & Toubro (Oman) won a turnkey order from Oman Electricity Transmission Company for the construction of 400 kV reactor transformers and associated works at Sur and Izki substations.
The company's metallurgical and material handling segment has bagged orders worth Rs 177 crore, which includes Ash Handling Plant (AHP) covering high concentration slurry disposal systemson an engineering, procurement and construction basis fromNTPC Limited for the Tanda Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.
It has also secured an add on package for the CHP Anpara Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.

Further, the company has received an additional order worth Rs 300 crore from an ongoing job of the heavy civil infrastructure business.
