A complete shutdown was observed in Ladakh today over a Jammu and Kashmir High Court ruling on reservation.
The bandh, called by the Ladakh Regional Action Committee for Protection for Reservation, was supported by all political and religious organisations.
Shops were closed and buses and vehicles remained off the road. Government offices and educational institutes were also closed.
The Jammu and Kashmir High Court had recently ruled that there shall be no benefit of reservation in promotion of government servants in the state.
