The 35-year-old basketball star is currently being treated at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles following a four-day drug and drink binge at a Nevada brothel.
The 31-year-old reality TV star discussed Odom's current health situation during an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", reported Aceshowbiz.
"Well, I can't tell him. We tell him that he had a brain injury, but we can't tell him how that brain injury was caused, because that will set him back," she said.
"He never asks why he's here. He's really confused a lot, sometimes he knows who the president is and his birthday, and sometimes he thinks he's 26, and I say I bet you wish you were 26, so do I!" she added.
On her decision to put the brakes on their divorce, Kardashian said, "I'm there helping him and I love him and I've always loved him. And that will never change. And I just feel like it's a really insensitive thing to fast-forward a divorce.
