It will be in addition to USD 500,000 which will be given to the players as participating fee. The decision was taken by Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) today.
This was sequel to player discussion based on a demand to pay them 20 per cent of the income derived from ICC events.
The matter was referred yesterday to the committee for a decision after talks ended inconclusive yesterday.
If the team reached semifinals in the world T20, the players will get USD 250,000.
A bonus of 750,000 awaits if the team won the world cup.
The Asia Cup winning team has also been rewarded with a bonus of USD 100,000.
There was no immediate comment from the players on the bonus payment plan. Players went in to talks with the SLC having refused to sign new playing contracts based on their demand for 20 per cent of the SLC's ICC income.
