Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana, who is on a three-day visit to India, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj tomorrow and discuss bilateral issues, the external affairs ministry said today.
The issue of Sri Lankan Navy arresting Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu is likely to come up for discussion.
On September 5, Sri Lanka released 80 Indian fishermen who were arrested for allegedly fishing illegally in the island nation's territorial waters.
Marapana's visit comes days after Swaraj's visit to Sri Lanka to attend the 2nd Indian Ocean Conference.
Swaraj was in Colombo from August 31-September 1 and met Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and discussed bilateral relations.
Marapana arrived in New Delhi today and will leave for Colombo on September 10.
