Lankan Tamil held with US currency in TN

A Sri Lankan Tamil was today arrested here for alleged illegal stay in the country and possessing US currency, police said.
Aboorvanathan was spotted near a TASMAC liquor shop by police Inspector Pon Muniyandi, on a routine patrol, who enquired him on suspicion.
He was found carrying over 800 USD without any travel and other necessary document.
During questioning, he told the police that he had come to India in 2000 and stayed in Bangalore and Chennai.
He had married a woman from Dharmapuri District of Tamil Nadu. Further investigation was on, police said.
