In a shake-up of middle level administration, the Bihar government today shifted 46 officers working on various positions across the state.
All of them have been appointed as Sub-Divisional Officers (SDO) in different districts, except Patna.
The General Administrative Department (GAD) made public the list of transferred officials at its website. Though many of them were posted in the state capital, none of them have been retained here.
The massive transfers have raised eyebrows in the administrative circles, as they have come at a time when speculations are rife about the fate of Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.
GAD sources, however, termed it as a routine event.
