The 80-year-old was diagnosed with the illness just before his shooting schedule of the relaunch of TV drama 'Dallas' in June, reported Contactmusic.

However, he continued to work and is thankful to the show's bosses who gave him time in the middle for his treatment.

"Yes, I got cancer while shooting 'Dallas'. It was a true challenge and it wasn't fun. I had to get chemotherapy and radiation treatment," he said.

"They gave me a lot of time between my scenes. And thank goodness, I beat that thing. I am in remission now. All good," he added.
