Punjab government today extended the deadline to apply for regularisation of illegal colonies, including residential plots and commercial buildings, from October 25 to November 5 due to festival season.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of Cabinet Sub-Committee comprising Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon and Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi.
After the last date, the regularisation can be done by paying penalty till November 15, an official release said, adding there would be no further extension.
