Last rites of Brij Bedi performed in Amritsar

The last rites of noted social activist, Brij Bedi who died yesterday at a hospital in Gurgaon, were performed here today.
His last rites were attended by his wife, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi and their daughter Saina, besides local friends.
Punjab Revenue and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today condoled the demise of Bedi.
Majithia said that Bedi worked relentlessly for education and welfare of underprivileged children and would always be remembered for charitable deeds.
He also had a passion for highlighting the problems being faced by the heritage city of Amritsar, the minister said.
