"He passed away due to multiple organ failure yesterday. He was 103," his family told PTI.
Choudhury, a resident of Chittagong in Bangladesh, was a member of Surya Sen-led Indian Republican Army which made an audacious raid on the armoury at Chittagong in Bangladesh on April, 1930.
After the raid Surya Sen had hoisted the national flag and proclaimed a Provisional Revolutionary Government.
Later the revolutionaries moved towards the Jalalabad hills where several revolutionaries were killed in a fierce gunfight with the British army and Choudhury received a bullet injury and retreated with other comrades.
After independence, Choudhury decided to stay back in Bangladesh and became a very popular figure both in cultural and political circles there.
He also took active part in Bangladesh Liberation war and was given the Swadhinata Padak, the country's highest civilian award, in 2000.
He used to stay in Bangladesh and India.
He will be cremated in Bangladesh, his family said.
