"Law should take its own course. Law is bigger than an individual or a family. If you have not done anything wrong, you need not fear a probe. But if you have committed a mistake, then it is natural to be apprehensive. If you are hawalabaaz, then you will be afraid," party spokesperson Sambit Patra told a press conference.
BJP toed a similar line on reports that the ED may register a complaint of money laundering in the National Herald case.
The ED has registered a money laundering case arising out of a land grab case in Bikaner in Rajasthan involving a firm allegedly linked to Robert Vadra.
"A criminal case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) has been registered by the ED. It will soon issue summons and question the accused involved including some unknown private entities," agency sources said.
