Lawyer among 10 quacks arrested

In a crackdown on quacks, police today arrested ten persons, including a law graduate, who were posing as medical practitioners in different parts of the district.
The quacks were arrested during surprise checks conducted at various clinics on the directive of District Superintendent of Police R Sakthivel, police said.
Joint Director of Health Dr Vijayalakshmi said one Ravichandran who was among the ten quacks had done M.A B.L but was running four allopathy clinics.
The other quacks had studied up to class X or XII, she added.
