Currently the Allahabad High Court has a bench in Lucknow and lawyers in West UP have long been demanding a separate bench in the region.
President of district bar association, Ram Avtar Gupta, said that until their demand is fulfilled, the agitation will not stop.
Today's protest was organised under the banner of 'Paschimi Uttar Pradesh Sangharsh Samiti'.
"There is a huge pendency of various types of cases at Lucknow and Allahabad benches and with the establishment of High Court bench in western UP the litigants will get justice without wasting time and money," said Rakesh Kakda, former president of Ghaziabad Bar Association.
