Leopard dies after hit by vehicle

A leopard died after it was run over by an unidentified vehicle on Silwani-Bhopal Road today, a forest official said.
The big cat had killed a cow and was eating it when an unidentified vehicle might have hit it resulting into its death, according to the official.
The feline suffered serious injuries in its mouth, which resulted in its death. Its last rites were performed after necessary formalities including autopsy.
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) N K Saxena confirmed the incident.
A dead cow was also found on the spot which the leopard had killed.
