The Lt Governer presented cheques to a total of 32 awardees, which included 6 Gallantry Award winners and 26 Distinguished Service Medal winners.
Also, ex-gratia amount was given to Murti Devi, mother of Late GDR Anil Kumar (Grenadiers) who was killed on November 20, 2000 in Operation Meghdoot. The Lt Governor also released the Flag Day brochure of the Rajya Sainik Board on this occasion.
