The committee comprises Principal Secretary (Finance), Secretary (Public Works Department) and Secretary of the the concerned departments as members.
Reviewing the progress of implementation of various schemes and projects, Jung directed the secretaries of various departments to submit an activity-wise timeline for each of the scheme and project, so that their progress can be monitored closely.
He also directed the secretaries to strictly adhere to the timelines to ensure implementation in a time-bound manner.
"The committee will have all the powers to take decision on the projects and schemes for their immediate implementation. While ordering constitution of the committee, Jung said the Secretary of the departments shall be responsible to ensure timely implementation of projects and schemes and no delay shall be tolerated," an L-G house official said today.

This committee would specially focus on power, discoms, DTL and solar projects.
The PIU will monitor implementation of the ongoing projects as well as projects going to be implemented in the current financial year as per allocations made in the Budget 2014-15.
