Additional Sessions Judge Amarpal Singh yesterday convicted Prassan Dubey and awarded him life imprisonment for abducting and raping the girl.He also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on him.
Two others involved in the case -- Mehdi Hasan and Bablu Hasan -- were sentenced to seven years jail and fine of Rs. 3000 each for assisting in the kidnapping, he said.
The victim, a student of Shaheed Mangal Pandey Inter College, was returning home on July 12, 2012 when she was abducted.
