Additional District and Sessions Judge Ramesh Chandra Singh sentenced Sanjay Rai and Pappu Kumar, who are related to each other, to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them after finding them guilty in the murder case of building material businessman Akhilesh Rai.
According to the prosecution, the duo along with other persons had first stabbed Rai before shooting him from a close range on March 31, 2004.
Rai succumbed to injuries at the Patna Medical College and Hospital later.
