District and Session Judge Raghuvar Dayal sentenced Srikant Kumar, Ramakant Kumar, Ashish Kumar and Dilip Kumar to life imprisonment.
Randhir Kumar had gone missing from his home at Rajwadi village in Jharkhand's Palamu district on March 3, 2012. His body was found three days later by the police from near Malai Dam with one of his fingers chopped off.
His abductors had called up the victim's father Vinod Ram and demanded Rs 5 lakh for his safe release. Vinod had brought this to the attention of the police and the four were arrested after details of the mobile phone calls were gathered.
