Light rain brings relief to Delhiites

Light rain in some parts of the national capital today brought much needed relief to people reeling under a severe heat wave.
People came out of their offices and homes to enjoy the rain seeking respite from the blistering heat.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal.
The MeT department had hinted at the possibility of thunderstorms or dust storms occurring in some areas today.
With the sky set to remain partly cloudy for the rest of the day, the maximum temperature is expected to settle at 43 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT officials.
The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 43.6 degrees Celsius, easing slightly from the scorching 45-degree mark, breached by the mercury earlier.
Humidity in air recorded till 8.30 AM today was 40 per cent.
