Light to moderate rains in parts of UP

Light to moderate rains today brought down the temperature in western parts of Uttar Pradesh though the weather remained mainly dry in eastern part of the state.
Baghpat, Nazibabad, Gunnaur, Rampur, Gautambudhnagar, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnore and Saharanpur were among the areas that received rainfall.
However, eastern parts of the state continued to reel under heat wave conditions with a high of 43 degree Celsius recorded in Orai.
The weather department has forecast rain or thundershowers at isolated places in western UP.
