Lightning strike kills 3 of a family in Odisha

Three members of a family were killed and two others sustained severe burn injuries when lightning struck them at a village in Odisha's Kalahandi district today, police said.
All the five members of the family of Kadalaibahali village under Vairipalli grama panchayat of Kalahandi district were in their house when they were struck by the lightning, they said.
While Padmini Rout (45), Jagyanseni Rout (32) and Mani Rout (8) were killed on the spot, Kshetra Rout (52) and Swapna Rout (6) were admitted at the Jaipatna hospital with serious burn injuries, they said, adding, that the bodies will be sent for post-mortem.
