CBS has ordered a series on the movie with "The Amazing Spider-Man" director Marc Webb attached to helm.
The actor is expected to play a recurring role as Eddie Morra, who found himself able to learn faster and recall memories from his distant past after taking a mysterious drug NZT.
His character, now a senator climbing his way to become President of the United States, mentors a guy who just came across NZT.
The story in the TV version, however, will focus on the new guy named Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) who is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI.
