NRAS is an information system that helps passengers find information, alerts on their route, train or destination on their Internet enable phone. It has already powered the national train enquiry system of Indian Railways.
To use NRAS, passengers can log on to
http://m.Railyatri.In/ from their Internet enable phone to locate the special trains to/from their town.
Travellers can simply enter their
station/train/journey/PNR details on their mobile phone and the system will display alerts relevant to the user.
There is also a special feature for regular commuters to specify their regular routes and view alerts on their way, said Manish Rathi of Railyatri.In.
NRAS includes a comprehensive database of major events which generates heavy rush at specific locations and warns users in advance if their travel takes them through one or more locations.
