Lok Adalat settles 3,398 cases in Himachal Pradesh

As many as 3,398 cases were settled today in Lok Adalats organised in all districts, except tribal Lahaul and Spiti district, by HP State Legal Services Authority.
Out of the 6,862 cases including Compoundable criminal cases, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Motor Accidents claims, Compensation Act, 3398 cases were disposed off and a compensation of Rs 16,92,700 awarded.
The Lok Adalats were help in compliance of Himachal Pradesh High Court order.
As many as 1,811 cases were settled in Shimla division, followed by Mandi (429), Sirmaur (237), Solan (216), Kinnaur 184, Kangra (152), Una (133), Hamirpur (95), Kullu (72), Bilaspur (48) and Chamba (21).
