Addressing a panchayat committee meeting here at Shahpura and public hearing in the Bhilwara district yesterday, Kothari said the regulations of the state's Lokayukta 'should be strengthened further.'
"There should be an independent investigative agency under the Lokayukta. The Lokayukta Secretariat has been sending proposals regularly to the state government and a positive response is expected from their side," said Kothari.
He said with the expansion of public administration and public service, corruption is also increasing at an alarming level, degrading the society and families.
"We all should strive toward saving the social system from chaos by working with dedication and integrity thereby raising high benchmarks," said Kothari.
People also don't want crowded systems in place of democracy, he added.
