The stranded aircraft is now expected to depart for its destination either tonight or tomorrow, an airport official said.
The British Airways flight BA36 was scheduled to take off for London's Heathrow Airport from the international airport at 5.35 AM.
"The passengers, however, were informed of the cancellation only around 1030, almost five hours after boarding the flight," the official said.
After the passengers protested the delay, they were deplaned and are now lodged in various hotels in the city, the official added.
After landing, the woman and her baby were shifted to a city-based private hospital, airport and hospital sources said.
The condition of the baby is stated to be serious and doctors are monitoring her, they added.
