Company's Chairman Constentinos Loulis today met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to discuss its proposed Rs 72 crore investment in state's food processing sector, an official spokesperson said.
The Chief Minister said that food process is priority sector of the state government. It would result in value addition of farmers' produce. All facilities will be provided in the state to the serious investors.
Loulis Mills has offered to set up a major wheat-based food processing unit at Nimarni Food Processing Park in Khargone district at an estimated cost of Rs 72 crore.
Besides Chouhan also met the Director of Nutech Mediworld Company Dr Gita Shroff, who wishes to set up a stem cell technology centre at Bhopal.
The Chief Minister said that the people of the state will greatly benefit from treatment through stem cell technology.
Dr Shroff informed that muscles, bones and tissues of any part of body can be regenerated through stem cell technology and that her institution was working in this field for many years.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Antony DeSa, Principal Secretaries to CM Iqbal Singh Bains and SK Mishra and Principal Secretary Industries Mohammad Suleiman among others were present on the occasion.
