The crematorium at Thodamuthur on the city outskirts was handed over to the foundation by District Collector T N Hariharan yesterday, an official release said here today.
It can be made use of by public regardless of caste, creed and religion, it said.
The foundation was operating nine crematoriums, including seven in the district, under an MoU with the state government, the release added.
