Thereafter members accompanied him to the nearby seat and a doctor attended to him.
Ministers Harsh Vardhan and Jitendra Singh, who are themselves doctors, were seen asking Sampath about his condition.
Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu and other members in the House rushed to assist Sampath.
A doctor was seen taking the blood pressure reading of the member.
The House was adjourned for about 10 minutes till 1530 hrs and he was taken to dispensary.
When the House met again, Congress members wanted adjournment citing illness of the member, who was not present. The Congress members said they wanted to see him.
At this, Naidu said the House can be adjourned for 30 minutes and Thambidurai did the same.
At 1600 hrs, Naidu informed the House that Sampath had suffered from cough and exertion. The doctors had allowed him to go home.
