Teachers of Jawahar Bal Bhavan (a cultural centre run by Puducherry government) presented patriotic songs on the occasion.
Silence was observed for a couple of minutes by all those present at the venue.
PCC leader A Namassivayam MLA accompanied by office bearers of the committee,AICC General Secretary V Narayanasamy paid homage at the portrait of the Mahatma on the premises of the PCC office.
