The saber, which was used by Mark Hamill in 1977's "Star Wars: A New Hope" and 1980's "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back", is the personal collection of producer Gary Kurtz and will be auctioned by The Profile Hollywood Auction 89, reported Aceshowbiz.
The auction will be held between June 26 and 28. The lightsaber is expected to sell between USD 150,000 and USD 250,000. The last time a Luke Skywalker lightsaber prop was sold, it was for USD 240,000.
Another "Star Wars" memorabilia which will be offered at the auction is an actual R2-D2 unit and some original concept arts from Tom Jung used for the original "Star Wars" trilogy.
