Soon after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee left the mall following inauguration, an RP Sanjiv Goenka group official asked reporters to leave saying, "Please go. This is a private party."
This was done despite the journalists being formally invited.
The shocked reporters were waiting to talk to senior officials about the mall after performance of famous French pianist Richard Clayderman.
The mall which is yet to be opened for the general public, and it won't be opened before Durga Puja.
The mall is developed by CESC Properties Ltd, a subsidiary of the group flagship CESC Ltd. It will have a 7.2 lakh sq ft of built-up space with a retail area of 4.15 lakh sq ft.
