In an apparent attempt to mitigate their apprehension about separatists, the senior BJP leader said,"You be assured, we will not allow the anti-India campaigns or any such incidents".
Central BJP leadership today sent Madhav to chair the two-days conference to placate its local leadership and cadres. Some of the party leaders have reportedly called for ending ties with PDP.
Madhav was BJP's chief negotiator in alliance formation talks with PDP in J&K.
In a bid to placate them, Madhav gave detailed picture to them how the BJP-PDP government was cobbled out purely on the basis of the development and under what circumstances Masarat Alam was released.
"We have six year period of governance. Government will run. Let us go ahead together," he told legislators.
"If you remain out. It is your mistake. If you remain inside, it is media victory," he told them.
"I told the ministers to ensure development in one year. That is the only answer to all this," he said.
"You have to behave like a partner. Talk to PDP, administration will also change. It will be better situation," he told party leaders.
