Shoojit Sircar's espionage drama "Madras Cafe", starring John Abraham and Nargis Fakri, has been given a U/A certificate by the Censor Board without any cuts.
The film will see John play a RAW agent as the fictional story takes place in the backdrop of the Sri Lankan civil wars of the early 1990s.
"I am happy that the Censor Board has passed our film without any cuts giving it a U/A certificate. This is a very special film for us and I am glad the audiences will get to experience this political thriller soon," Sircar said in a statement.
"Madras Cafe", which releases on August 23, is co-produced by JA Entertainment and Rising Sun Films.
